Ginger Spice Geri Halliwell has always been interested in books and literature, and has even penned a children's story featuring the Spice Girls back when they were still a fivesome. Last month, she announced a series of six books starring an eight-year-old character named Ugenia Lavender, whom she says is her alter ego and was inspired by all the Spice Girls' personalities; the first book of the series has recently been released.

Geri was present at a book signing in Essex a few days ago, but that's not the main highlight of her day. After the book signing, Geri was on her way down from the venue when the lift she was in jammed between the ground and the first floor, leaving her and four other people stuck for an hour. Firefighters eventually arrived and freed the passengers of the lift. Hope you're feeling fine, Geri!
